Def Jam – Young Jeezy Album Release Event

The 135th Street Agency was hired the week before the Young Jeezy Album Release Event to set up a red carpet press line and Def Jam VIP Press Room. We were asked to create a “paparazzi frenzy” and make Jeezy feel like the “King of Atlanta” upon arrival. We were also enlisted to assist in event planning, including securing details such as:

· Creation and installation of the step & repeat banner
· Gobo lighting
· Red carpet purchase and installation
· Prop design (Styrofoam Jeezy Snowmen)
· Acting as the point of contact between the label and promoter/club owner.

The impressive red carpet press line was set up in the back entrance of Visions Nightclub. The tented red carpet press line was a mecca of both Atlanta and national hip-hop celebrities. From 10 PM until 2 AM, light bulbs were flashing and cameras were rolling to get exclusive footage of the celebrity guests who came to celebrate Jeezy’s album release with him.
